Adfam

Our Vision

Adfam is a national charity working to help and better the life for families who are affected by alcohol and drugs. Be part of a loving and supportive family to enjoy physical and mental wellbeing because we want everyone affected by someone else's drug or alcohol use to have the chance to benefit from these healthy relationships.

Family relationships as well as their mental health are threatened with destruction due to drugs and alcohol use.

Our Mission

We stop these incidents happening by enabling family members as well as support workers to influence the addict's decision-making.

What We Care About

We listen to frontline workers and families We know and understand that the people who face challenges often also have answers . Our supporters informed what we do: We support and empower both people affected by substance misuse and the workers who support them with the evidence and compassion with us. We develop abilities, resources, trust and pathways so both groups can assist themselves, their friends, clients and communities.

We Are Inspired By What Works

Our aim is to improve health and happiness decisions in family set up, work place and social gatherings. This is the secret behind our dynamic approach to drug and alcohol abuse. To accomplish all of this, we gladly accept different kinds of evidence, and we lean on real life experiences as well as formal scientific facts. Our work is inspired by our families, friends, supporters and co-workers and what they tell us works.

We're Not Kidding About Our Main Goal

We are committed to deliver high quality work because we are serious about our work and our partnerships. We recognise that injustice and discrimination are the biggest threats towards individual and family recovery from drug and alcohol abuse. We advocate for just society of individuals with equal rights and opportunities regardless of their drug or alcohol orientation to make a contribution using individual potential towards nation building activities through collective participation.

With Whom Do We Work

  • Family members, friends and carers - We actually notify and engage those individuals who are influenced by other's substance utilise, and we also wanted to raise their voices and realize them to know that they are in the issue that badly affect them.
  • Frontline workers - To make sure the support we deliver is effective and appropriate, we build confidence, capacity and capability of practitioners.
  • Decision- Architects. Our engaged and influenced national and local leaders and decision makers make policies which are made according to the issues of families.
